Before Anesthesia
There are a few steps to be taken prior to oral sedation.
First, patients must refrain from eating or drinking anything at least 8 hours prior to treatment. Eating or drinking before treatment will cause nausea.
Second, patients must be driven to and from the office.
On the day of treatment, do not wear any jewelry, contact lenses, or dentures.
Any medications taken normally or before treatment must be discussed with the doctor to ensure they are approved.
Other than these simple considerations, there is nothing else you need to do to prepare for surgery.
